Losing in The Lottery And How to Stop It

The first thing to consider when choosing lottery numbers is the amount of characters in your number picks. Picking all low digit numbers reduces your chances of winning. For example, have you ever played the line 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 in a 6 from 49 lottery? Such a combination of numbers hasn't ever turned up in a lotto draw and it is extremely unlikely that it is going to in the near future - so avoid it!

Many people, when they hear that low number combinations and especially the 1 - 6 combination have very little chance of being drawn, wonder why this is the case.

In order to understand why such combinations are unlikely to be drawn let's take a standard lotto like the one in the UK that has forty-nine numbers to choose form. There are only nine single digit numbers among those forty-nine. Out of all those numbers forty of them are double digit numbers!  1 to 9 represents the single digit numbers while 10 to 40 represent the double digit numbers.

It is not rocket science working out that there is a better chance of a double digit number being drawn than a single digit one.

Therefore using all 6 number picks to choose 6 single digit numbers reduces your odds even further from the staggering 14 million to 1 you get with a randomly generated ticket.

If you decide to play a low digit number combination such one, two, three, four, five and six in a six from forty-nine lotto draw you have virtually no chance of how to win the lottery! Not only are all the numbers single digit but they are in a continuous numerical sequence - which never happens either!

Although it is said that every lottery combination in the lottery has the same numerical and statistical chance of being drawn (1 in 14 million in a 6 from 49 lotto draw) it makes sense to avoid the above combinations.

If you want to give yourself a better chance of picking winning numbers choose them from a wide range of possibilities. It is always a good idea to look at previous draws in the lotto game that you are playing. Very often there are hot numbers that appear more often than the others.

So choosing numbers that have a statistically greater chance of being drawn together can greatly increase your odds of winning a prize. Using a wheeling system in conjunction with the advice given above can dramatically increase your chances of winning a huge lottery prize.

You can use lottery software to help you increase the chances of winning.
